Exciting sight

As I was going to lunch today the crossing guard said "There's a hawk across the street. He just grabbed a pigeon." I looked across the street and sure enough, there was a hawk just hanging out on the sidewalk, standing on top of the remains of a pigeon. I crossed over and got really close, and he just stood there looking around for the longest time, then he took his pigeon and flew very low across the street into a tree. The last I saw of him he was sitting in the tree delicately picking at the pigeon. I got some pictures, I'll try to post one here, hopefully it'll post to livejournal too.
Aside from that, I went to my meeting in the evening, it was very small but good. Oh, and I made the appointment for Spyder to have his second echocardiogram.
Gratitude List:
1. Urban hawks.
2. President Obama.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4. Got time off for Spyder's appointment.
5. On-line friends.
6. Phone camera.
Hmmm. Looks like the only way I can add an image is by having it posted somewhere else and use the URL, not directly from my computer. A downside to dreamwidth after all.
