More from last night

silver_chipmunkSo after I posted and fed the cats and undressed to go to bed, I was reading (rereading Captain Vorpatril's Alliance) when I got a text from mashfanficchick asking if I was still up. When she found I was, she called and asked if i would like to join her and her mother and Mandy in a late night dinner at Uno. Why yes, yes I would. So I got up and dressed again and they picked me up and we went ut to Uno.
I didn't have a dinner of course, having eaten, but I had a bowl of French onion soup, very tasty.
Then we went out for desert to Omonia, a Greek coffee shop and pastry place. I had a gelato with Kahlua sundae. Delicious!
Got back here and to bed at almost 5:00, so today I slept very late by intent. Though I woke up at 11 something and read for awhile before I decided that a few more hours of sleep would be good. Unfortunatly I overslept the couple of hours I intended and woke up after 4. So much for the day.
So for what time there was I ate, went online and puttered, and then called the FWiB. And we talked for over two hours, which was good. Turns out I was right, they never gave him the message yesterday. Then I called the kid and we talked for awhile. Things are OK. Looks like I'll be going up for Mother's day the weekend after the day because he's having a birthday party planned by the SIL Mother's Day weekend.
So that's about all I did today, darn it.
