Last day of school

silver_chipmunkIt was a half day of school so the kids poured in early but also left early, so the afternoon and evening were dead quiet. Which was a good thing because we were short staffed. Also the boss was interviewing potential replacements for the children's position, which is a Good Thing.
Anyway, after work the FWiB called, but that annoying buzz is back on the line so after he tried calling me back twice, we called it a day. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.
I checked out a book of Seabury Quinn Jules de Grandin stories. They are all being republished, in five volumes, and this is the first. This is the only thing that has made me slightly wish I wasn't out of touch with the ex-husband. I wish I could tell him about them, because he was so much a fan of Seabury Quinn. Oh well. His loss. I am enjoying them myself.
Met up withmashfanficchick, her mother, and Theo and went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, and then Carvel.
Oldest brother tells me that he heard from John that John Ivon had a stroke, affecting his right side, but it wasn't too bad. Hope he'll be OK.
There was a note on my door that they want access to the apartment again, for work on the water risers again. On Friday, luckily I'm free that day.
Bed now and some Jules de Grandin before sleep!
