I did it again

Had trouble getting up, and this time it was so bad I called out sick rather than go in late. I don't enjoy this. I don't know what causes me to do it. I feel rotten about it.

I spent the day doing very little. I did clean the cat pans which needed it, and I got on to Sara's wedding site and sent money to the honeymoon fund for my wedding present, but that's about it. Aside from that I read and slept. Been reading the Elizabeth George I got from the book store. I don't enjoy them ike I used to, I'm annoyed with most of the characters, I find.

The FWiB called and we talked which is always good.

Oldest Brother got rejected for Medicare this time around, they said he made $2000 too much. Just when he was finally getting some medical care...

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. I can call out sick when I need to.

3. Clean cat pans.

4. Ice cream. Ate my extra Carvel from Wednesday tonight.

5. Air conditioning.

6. The internet.

That's true. And I have the time, so that's OK. It's just... I feel guilty about it.

I'm sorry if this is too personal--I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before, though I know you've mentioned going to a psychiatrist--do you take medication?

I take a number myself, but I know it doesn't always help. Sometimes I have to take my "mental health" days too. It really sucks.

Yeah, I do take medication. I'm not particularly depressed any more, I'm pretty much on an even keel now... but every so often this "can't get up" thing happens.

Calling in sick can often be just what we need, try not to feel too bad about it, especially because it's happened now - you can't change what is done so no point dwelling :)

Honestly, the health care system in USA really, really irks me. How is it fair to withold a basic human right? I just don't get it. Not that it helps your brother now, but I hope he is able to get the medical care he needs.

You're right, I shouldn't dwell on feeling guilty about the sick day. I'll just try to move on.
