silver_chipmunkWell first the scary certified letter turned ut to be nothing more than a copy of the notice I had near my door when I got home from vacation, saying that there's going to be an inspection by whoever is in charge of rent stablized apartments. So that was OK.
Anyway, after going to the post office I came back here and textedmashfanficchick that i had eclipse glasses and did she want to meet up to view the eclipse? And she did so we met up, and got something for lunch and settled in a park on Queens Blvd where we could see the sun. And we watched the eclipse, which was fascinating! Various other people came by trying to view it and we shared the glasses with them, which worked out very well.
So after the eclipse reached it's peak and was dwindling we went to her place and I helped her out wth a few things for which she offered to get me dinner.
The FWiB called and we talked. He watched the eclipse from the nursing home, someone had eclipse glasses and shared.
mashfanficchick's mother came back from New Jersey where she had been eclipse watching with Dani and family, and we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
And that was my day, and a very successful one.
