Day with Oldest Brother

Spent the day with Oldest Brother. He came over at 1:30. We called John and asked him if Betsy was OK in the face of Hurricane Harvey, (she is) and I told him what was going on with the cottage.

We dropped my laundry off, picked up my prescriptions, and then we went out to Queens Center Mall and walked around. We checked out a few stores, didn't buy anything. I got my free piece of Godiva chocolate. And we ate at the conveyor-belt sushi place. You sit at a counter and plates of sushi go past on a conveyor belt, color coded by the price of the sushi. You take what you want off the belt and stack the plates at your place. When you're done they add up the cost of the plates and give you your bill. Delicious. Because nothing says "final days of vacation" like raw fish on rice.

Anyway after we had sushi we got pretzels and headed back. The FWiB called and we talked while Oldest Brother drove me to the Stop and Shop near my apartment and I did some quick shopping.

Then we came back here and puttered on the computer, looking at things on youtube.

So all in all it was a very nice day.
