silver_chipmunkThe day was pretty quiet. I won't say it was good to be back, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I found out how it went there the day of the eclipse, there was an estimate of a thousand! Of course there weren't enough glasses for everyone, there were only about a hundred, give or take. So they had a demonstration of how to make pinhole viewers. All in all, though it would have been impressive to see, I'm glad I wasn't there.
I called Aunt Helen and asked if she had heard from the contractor about the cottage. She hadn't. I'm not sure what to do now.
After work the FWiB called and we had a nice long talk while I went through Flushing to go to the bank. No word from his sister.
Went and picked up my laundry, which I should have done yesterday.
Called The Kid but she didn't pick up.
And there was a shooting in a library in Clovis, New Mexico. Apparently a guy walked in and started shooting up the place. Two dead, four wounded. It's scary.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Clean laundry.
3. The shooting wasn't worse, or anywhere near here.
4. I wasn't there for the eclipse.
