Group anniversary

So work was OK, a bit frazzling because I had trouble with the reservation system for the laptops, which I needed for the laptop program, but it all worked out.

Then I left at 5, and the FWiB called on my way home. We talked for awhile, and while we were talking I got home and got my stuff for the anniversary. I went through Flushing to the 65 stop, and took the 65 to College Point where I got off early, finished my shopping, and walked to the church to start setup.

It all went very well, we made a nice bit of money, and a good time was had by all.

I won three raffle prizes.

I am very tired now, it was a lot of walking and standing.

Gratitude List:

4. Brought leftover chicken cutlets home.

6. Working 11 - 7 tomorrow so I can sleep late.

I can just imagine how annoying things can get with a snafu in a reservation system. We don't have a reservation system for our laptops, but mainly because we just don't have the demand. However, I can just imagine the irritation, especially at peak times.

What happened was I was trying to make a reservation for all the laptops (we have 13 for public use) so i could log into them for the teens in my program. That should be possible with one single action. Since I was also making a reservation for the younger kids program before mine, two actions. But it wouldn't let me, for reasons too long to explain. So I had to reserve each laptop individually... 11 actions (two laptops are down at ITG being fixed) each time. It took over an hour. Then when it cam time to do the teen program, something hadn't worked and there were reservations on only about half the laptops. Fortunately there were very few attendees, so there were enough reserved computers. But it was exhausting.
