Back to work

Everything went ok, nothing much to say. I did the laptop program with the teens, and while I was doing that I filled out the adoption application for what I hope will be my new cat.
Got a phone call from The Kid, nothing I can talk about at this point though. And a text frommashfanficchick about eating the New Years leftovers. And The FWiB called after work as usual... still having to call from the nurses station because the patient phones are still out of order. All is well.
Went through Flushing as usual to get to my meeting, and did some errands on the way, turtle food for Christie, money from the bank, and a new metrocard. Instead of getting my usual lamb over rice from the halal cart, though, I ate at Burger King for a change.
My meeting was small but good, step one, admitting powerlessness. I have to remember there are no secret magical words to make people do what I think is best for them.
Tomorrow I may be having the home visit for the cat adoption. I hope it'll be Thursday though, gve me a little time to get ready.
Gratitude List:
1. I seem to have passed the application part of the process.
2. The FWiB.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4. Going back to work was painless.
5. The Kid.
6. Working late tomorrow so I can do some work tonight.
