Stupid anti-harassment training

That was a total waste of an hour of my life I'll never get back. I can not begin to explain just how pointless that was.

The only good thing about it was seeing Ms F, the clerk who was reassigned. So that was nice.

Andthen the rest of the day was one of THOSE days. No one big thing, I just felt I was being nibbled to death by ducks. I did the gaming program, got some kids at the beginning, but they left and then no one else came in so that was boring.

Came home and went to the drug store for my prescriptions. Then came home and Skyped the FWiB.

I googled the site where I'm supposed to get the Megabus to Boston on Friday and am glad to see it should be easy to get to by subway, since it seems mashfanficchick's mother won't be up to driving me. She still has the flu pretty bad I gather.

That kind of training is actually backfiring. Either people think they've ticked the box and forget about it, or they're so aggravated they take it out on other people. Not to mention that forcing people to listen to sex talk is itself harassment, which obviously disproves the claim that you can't force sexual situations on people. All you need is power. Harassers figure this out very fast. And women? Most of them just sit there and wait for it to be over, which is exactly how they often handle harassment, which is also the opposite of helpful. >_

This was just 45 minutes of sheer pointlessness. We did an on-line training on it already, and this was supposed to be a follow-up. But it just recapped the same stuff pointlessly. The two women who were leading it didn't seem to know what thy were supposed to be doing,and to top it all off, the room was smotheringly overheated, and the fan that we had going to try and cool it down drowned out a lot of what the one woman was saying.
