They couldn't fit me in at the vet in Forest Hills but they said they could at the main practice in Valley Stream, so I asked

mashfanficchick and her mother if that was OK, and it was, so that's where we went.

Before that, however, work was OK, I did the gaming program, got 16. And the Kid called, she spent the day at DMV getting her car and everything switched over to NY from PA.

The FWiB's wifi was down for a good part of the day, from 3-something til just a littl while ago. He Skyped me though we could only talk about five minutes.

Anyway, went to the vet, they examined her, and wanted to keep her overnight. X-rays and blood tests in the morning, then I pick her up tomorrow night. Expensive but not as bad as I feared. This group is reasonable at least.

We stopped at Sonic after the vet, and I got a milkshake since I had had dinner already.

I am only a little worried about the turtle, I think she's OK now, but this is a precaution.
