Reasonably good day

silver_chipmunkThe one-on-one with my boss went quite well. Nothing of great importance, except I have to do more outreach.
The union president and another union rep were at the branch today. Not for any really important reason, but it was nice seeing him.
I did the laptop program, got about 14.
After I left work I Skyped the FWiB and we talked. Went through Flushing and got coffee k-cups. Then when I was heading to the halal cart to get my dinner, I witnessed something discomforting; apparently a random act of violence. I say apparently random because I didn't see it start and at first I thought it was a girlfriend and boyfriend having a fight. But she pulled away from him and he he was yelling in a deranged manner that he had a pen and he could have jammed it into her throat and killed her but he only used his finger. And he stormed off down the street and I realized it was probably a random street attack, though luckily not one that caused serious physical damage. Very nasty.
So I was a bit shaken when I got my food from the halal cart. Then I went to my meeting, which was small but good.
So that was my day.
Oh, almost forgot to say! Dawn, who does weekly Starsky and Hutch recs, recced one of my fics today, a little drabble called Criminal Intent. It's here, if you want to read it: Criminal Intent on AO3, or here: Criminal Intent on fanfiction.net.
