Birthday party for Oldest Brother

The day started with me Skyping the FWiB. He is fine. What he didn't tell me in the morning but told me by email later was that his brother was in a serious car accident yesterday. He was forced of the road, and flipped his car several times. Thank God and seat belts he wasn't seriously hurt, just banged up a little. But the FWiB was understandably freaked out by hearing about it.

But anyway, after we Skyped I inadvertently took a short nap. Then got up and showered and dressed and went to wait for mashfanficchick and her mother, who were late because of bad traffic. We proceeded to the Chinese buffet restaurant, and were made even later by even worse traffic. When we got there everyone (Oldest Brother, John, Denise and Brianne) were there already waiting for us.

We ate a lot, and then went to Aunt Helen's where she was waiting. We had an apple cake, and ice cream, and he opened his presents, and then we sat around and talked for several hours, and had a great time.

Then we broke up and mashfanficchick and her mother brought me home, picking up my laundry on the way.

And here I am.

I’m glad his brother is OK! I was in a bad rollover wreck my senior year of high school and it was terrifying.

My brother was in one once, too, thank heavens for seat belts. It's a scaty thing to hear about. Glad you were OK.

Holy Smokes about the brother being run off the road. I'm glad he's okay and hoping law enforcement is investigating. That other driver does not deserve to be on the road!
