Art exhibit

Got up this morning and Skyped the FWiB. He's doing well, we didn't discuss his brother's accident. I should have asked him how he was feeling. Oh well...

Anyway, I got some stuff accomplished today, I cleaned the turtle filter and then of course had to clean the bathtub after. And I got two bags of recycling together and taken out.

I also took an inadvertent nap but only for about an hour I think.

But anyway, the big thing is I went to an exhibit of found object wind chimes at the Flushing Town Hall. It was a lot of fun making them sound. Most of them were for sale, but for much more than I could afford. Well, there were some for $25, but none that I was really interested in. The artist did a performance piece of them at the end of the show, which was nice to listen to.

Then I came home and ate and that's basically the day.

Blessed Palm Sunday to all applicable.

I love windchimes. I found a small older one in my house yesterday and hung it on the memorial tree for my horse in the pasture. I'd love to find a new big one for the yard. The two big ones that hung back there for many years got destroyed in the hurricane last year (one completely disappeared, the other was torn to pieces and not repairable)

They were interesting. Since they were found objects, they mostly weren't much to look at, but they made noises that ranged from, well, interesting, to downright beautiful. Sorry about your windchimes, I hope you find an appropriate replacement.
