Memorial Day

silver_chipmunkWell, I couldn't manage plans with anyone, so I took myself shopping.
Started the day by sleeping late, then having brunch at Dunkin' Donuts. Then I went to the Skyview mall, to Target. I got a pair of pants, a pair of shoes, and two shirts. Got a drink from the Starbucks in the store, something called a Dragon Drink, made with coconut milk, and dragon fruit. Quite tasty and refreshing.
The I browsed the mall a bit. Checked out Old Navy and Nordstrom Rack, didn't find anything I wanted, and then started going farther afield, mostly because I didn't want t go home yet.
Did Bob's Discount Furniture, in the hopes they might have a bookcase I could use (They didn't), and Michaels just because it's there, and then I went to BJ's.
And in BJ's I finally did something that I've been talking about for years. I got a new printer. It's pretty cheap, it was on sale for $49.99. It prints, scans, and makes copies. And it's wireless.
I came home in a cab rather than cart it on the bus. Got home and started setting it up. Was nervous as all get out, thought for sure I wouldn't be able to get it hooked up, but I did! It WORKS!
So after that I Skyped the FWiB, and after that made dinner, and then went into the bedroom to just putter around on the phone and read.
But I feel I had a very successful day all around.
So here's to the fallen heros who gave us this day. Wish I could have gotten to a parade but it was not to be.
