Slept until about 11, then puttered on my phone until

mashfanficchick and her mother woke up. She got Starbucks for us, and then we ate bagels (gluten free) and lox and cream cheese, and shrimp.

Eventually we watched another movie, What's Up Doc, which for those who don't know is a 60s screwball romantic comedy staring Barbara Streisand. Very funny.

I Skyped the FWiB, only for about 15 minutes before he went to dinner.

The kid called, upset as usual. I talked her down as best I could. While i was talking to her another call came through. I didn't recognize the name so I ignores it, but when I listened to the message, it turned out it was from John Ivon!

So that was the day. They drove me home after the movie, and all is well here.

So it's a new month, a new year, a new decade (yes I am one of those who thinks the decade starts now). May we all have better luck and better times than before.
