Busy Free Day

silver_chipmunkI slept til 10 this morning after the Kid called me at around 11 last night and we talked for nearly an hour.
Then I got up, breakfasted and coffeed, showered, and it was time to head to Target for my eye appointment. That was pretty good, my insurance covered a good chunk of it. My eyes look good, though there's a very slightly high pressure in one eye, which I should watch.
After I finished with that I went to the Starbucks, and textedmashfanficchick. We arranged to meet up, and the upshot was that we did some shopping that I needed, at Target and BJ's, and then we went out to dinner with her mother and Dori.
The kid called while we were there and I talked for a bit and then said I'd call her when I got back home. Which I did and we talked for a long while.
So aside from feeling sad for the Kid, it was a pretty good day.
Gratitude List:
1. THe FWiB, who I didn't get to Skype, but was in touch with by e-mail.
2. My meetings, which I skipped tonight.
3. Friends.
4. My eyes are good.
5. Getting the shopping I needed done.
6. Clear, lovely (though cold) day.
