Day 7: James Thurber
Mar. 22nd, 2020 10:23 pmI slept late and spent most of the day either reading, dozing, or puttering online.
I Skyped the FWiB for about an hour, and that was nice. I also called the Kid and talked to her for a little while.
And at 8:00 I listened to Keith Olberman read James Thurber's "The Greatest Man in the World", and "The Bear Who Could Leave It".
mashfanficchick told me about him reading Thurber on Twitter every night at 8:00, and tonight I managed to figure out how to get in on it. I love Thurber, my mother used to read him out loud to Oldest Brother and I, and I got in the habit of reading him out loud to whoever was around when I was up ta the cottage. So this is nice having him read out loud to me again.
Anyway, tomorrow is the on-line staff meeting, on google hangouts. I guess I can figure that out too. I need to make sure I'm up and wearing something I can be seen in by 11:00 am.
The special election for Queens boro president was cancelled back on the 15th and somehow I didn't hear. I looked it up today to check.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. James Thurber.
3. Good books. Still working on Dragonsbane.
4. The Kid.
5. Macaroni and cheese for dinner.
6.
