Day 10: Appointment cancelled
Mar. 25th, 2020 10:16 pmGot a phone call this morning from my psychiatrist cancelling the appointment I had for today, so I didn't get out of the house after all.
What I did do was the usual, putter on-line, Skype the FWiB, call the Kid, and read. I read less than usual because, possibly for the first time in my life, I feel sated with reading. I did a little bit of rearranging books on my bookshelves, discovering in the process that I have not one, not two, but three copies of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. When I called the Kid I asked her if she wanted one, and she did, so I put one with the books of hers I'm giving to her when I see her. Tonight I shall ask Oldest Brother if he would like another.
I have also been listening to music on Pandora, and at 8:00 as usual I listened to Keith Olbermann reading James Thurber. Tonight, The Day the Dam Broke, The Proper Gander, and The Sheep in Wolf's Clothing.
I also did a training for work, and signed up for a meeting on Friday, which should actually be fun.
I texted
mashfanficchick but got no answer, and she hasn't posted on Facebook all day. I am worried.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Obviously seeing anyone is out of the question, but I have made plans. I shall actually DO things tomorrow, as much as possible. Tune in tomorrow for details.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. Pandora.
4. A fun meeting to count as working from home.
5. Good books, even though I'm not reading much.
6. Birthday plans.
