I overslept this morning so I had to rush to be ready by the time of the meeting. I took a shower and washed my hair first, but I hurried enough that I was actually the first person in the "room". It was plagued by terrible echoes, which the first one wasn't, I don't know what was going on. So I had a hard time hearing, but not much of importance was said anyway. Except the boss casually dropped it that she had been in conference with HR, but couldn't say about what. Which has sent my anxiety level sky-high.

After the meeting I had my breakfast (I only had coffee beforehand) and then made my big expedition out to Rite Aid. I picked up my prescriptions, two bottles of orange juice, and two jars of Talenti gelato. Stocked up for the time being!

Fewer than normal people were abroad, and almost all of them were masked. Fewer cars than usual on the streets, but not empty by any means. The store was not limiting the number of people inside, but did have marks for proper distance on line. No one was using them.

Anyway, I was as fast as possible, and got home and put everything away and washed up. Then I puttered on-line for awhile, and then went and read. I am now in the last of the four novellas of the Winterlands that Barbara Hambly wrote as "further adventures". They are just as good as the originals, but not as dark, which isn't saying much as the originals are pretty dark in spots.

I Skyped the FWiB, disturbing note of the day, at his place they are now all confined to their rooms. Well, it'll help keep them safe, he's most likely the youngest one there, and they all fall into the "vulnerable" category.

Last niht after I posted here I called the Kid, and we had a nice talk. She hurt her wrist somehow.

I finally put upmy Easter decorations. Nothing religious, just eggs and bunnies.

And that's about all for today.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. The Kid.

3. Good books.

4. Got out for awhile today.

5. Ice cream.

6. Clean hair.

Edited to add: Forgot to say, I also watched Keith Olbermann read James Thurber.
