Day 29: Writing!

silver_chipmunkDid a training for work, this time on google drive. I don't know how much of it will stick with me but it was interesting.
I called Oldest Brother four times today, that seems to work out better than three. He is definitely better than he was. Also, he heard from the hospital, the result of the covid test was, not surprisingly, positive. Not that there was really much doubt given his symptoms and their severity, but it's good to know for sure.
I Skyped the FWiB. While we were talking the Kid called. We ended up in a political disagreement. Not good. She will not vote for Biden, but says she'll vote Green. *sigh*
I've been reading the Anne Perry book I downloaded. It's over-written and the plot seems to have a lot of holes, but it is enjoyable so I'm overlooking the flaws.
But the big thing is, I wrote a fic! Starsky and Hutch. Fairly short, not much plot, just a cute little slice of life. I'm going to submit it to the S&H Solstice calendar. It's finished but I want to give it a look over, and possibly add a few lines here and there. So I'm happy about that. Speaking of writing fanfic, I think it's been long enough that it's OK to post the drabble I wrote for the SHarecon zine. I'll have to double check that though. If it is OK, I'll post a link here.
I ordered Christie the Turtle some more boxes of turtle cuttlebone. Five boxes, cause they were cheap, and I wanted to make it worth the cost of shipping. I ordered it from Petco rather than amazon, so I feel good for that. I gave the turtle the second one that I had, cause she finished the first one, and already shes been chomping on it.
I also ordered the cookbook Square Meals, which is a lovely fun read, even if you never cook anything from it. That I did get from amazon, I'm afraid.
So that's about all there is to say right now.
