Day 60: Two Months??!!
May. 14th, 2020 11:51 pmI can't believe it's been two months already. When we left work, we were told it would be for two weeks! And I thought that was a long time!\
Well, anyway, it's been a very long and busy day. First I got up and breakfasted and coffeed, and joined the Bronx YA meeting. That was kind of interesting, and lasted and hour.
After that I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice talk. When we finished I read on the computer, and then went into the bedroom and snuggled with Oreo for awhile. Came back out and had a Zoom visit with the Kid. We looked at stuff on a pearl site, and she bought me jewelry for Mother's Day, a black pearl spider broach, and a necklace.
Then after we got off, there wasn't much time until the Bard new York City virtual party. That was more fun than I expected, actually, though sort of wistful. No one I knew was there, though there was one person who was a year after me who's name I recognized.
After the party ended, it was almost time for Thurber. So I listened to the Thurber reading, which was two stories I didn't know. So that was good.
Then I had just enough time for dinner before the Indie book sellers book buzz. That was pretty good though some of the speakers didn't know how to stick to the subject of the book they were talking about. But mostly I enjoyed it.
Finally I called Oldest Brother for the second time (first time was before breakfast) and got interrupted by the Kid again, she wanted to let me know about an auction she won.
So that was my very long and cyber-filled day.
Now to see if this will finally cross post.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. Oldest Brother.
4. Bard.
5. Bed soon.
6. Orange juice.
