Went to the YA book discussion office hours, wasn't really that helpful. I do, however, have one person who has signed up for my book discussion, so that's good. And i finished reading the summer reading book I was working on, and started another.

After I finished the work day I Skyped the FWiB. He went to the oncologist this morning for a check up. He is still in remission, thank God.

After we talked, I ordered dinner through Seammless. I had texted [personal profile] mashfanficchick earlier, and ze texted me back, then switched over to a phone call, and we had a nice conversation. Good to hear from zer. It had been awhile.

Finally my dinner was delivered, at 7:45, when it was supposed to arrive between 7:10 and 7:20. The Thurber reading is usually at 8:00, I know I have been missing it lately, but I wanted to see it tonight so I wolfed down dinner and got out to the computer only to discover that it was postponed til 9:00.

So I listened to Kenny and Tommy's Live Jukebox til 8:30 when I called Middle Brother. He's doing fine, nothing new.

The Thurber reading was one that he'd already read, but a good one, The Catbird Seat. He started out the broadcast with a moment of outrage at Trump's terrifying tweet about delaying the election. Thank God it looks like even the Republican party won't stand for that.

Called Oldest Brother after the Thurber reading. He's doing fine, too. Then I fed Oreo and Christie. Earlier in the day I had given Christie a new turtle cuttlebone, because she had finished the previous one, and by dinner time she had practically destroyed the new one!

And that's pretty much the day.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. Both brothers are doing well.

3. My pets.

4. Air conditioning.

5. Back to listening to the Thurber reading.

6. Tomorrow the new Ben Aaronovitch book comes out!
