Worked from home again

silver_chipmunkGot uup mmostly on time and had breakfast and coffee. Spent the morning watching TED talks and a recording of a webinar from yesterday, then took my lunch break and after that read Akata Warrior til my break. After my break I watched a couple more TED talks. The Kid called, not too happy.
Then after work I Skyped the FWiB and we had a nice talk.
At 6:00, DC37, my union, had a meeting on facebook live about the 22,000 layoffs of city workers that DiBlasio has threatened if the city doesn't get some relief. So far the union has managed to hold off the layoffs, but it all depends on what Albany does. Unless the Senate manages to pass the stimulus bill the House passed in May. Still, this layoff threat don't seem to affect the library, though we have our own worries.
Anyway, after that was over, I got out my camera and put the pictures I took at Harvey and Belmont parks on the computer, and then I chose the ones I wanted for my digital picture frame and put them in in the folder.
And then I took the big step of taking out the SD card from the picture frame and adding the pictures to what I already had. It's well over 200 pictures, I don't know quite how many total. Anyway, I re-inserted it into the frame and turned it on, and of course it started just looping the same five pictures again. So I fiddled with it for a moment, and IT WORKED! So now I have my frame up and running with all the pictures I could want. Well, not quite true, I'll be adding more as time goes on and I take more, but this is all of the ones I've been working on plus the newest.
Then I went to the bedroom and played solitaire on my phone til Oldest Brother called. Still no joy on finding a place. John sent him some ideas of places to look, and Aunt Helen is spreading the word.
The Kid called while we were talking, in a much better mood, so that's good.
And my free day is tomorrow so I'm going to stay up a little late and read.
