Back to work
Sep. 21st, 2020 10:57 pmMade it to work early enough to buy a new cartoon of half-and-half since the one I had, had a use-by date of 9/15. We had people from other branches working with us today, which was nice.
After work the Kid called me, in a good mood, which was very nice. We talked til my bus came.
I went through Flushing and refilled my metrocard, then came home, and my copy of the Rootabaga Stories that I ordered the other day (Thursday) came! I got the notice of it having been delivered while I was at work, but I was scared it might get stolen, so I was very happy to see it waiting.
Skyped the FWiB. While we were talking I got a message from the guy I'd been talking to on Hinge the other day, so I told him I was on a Skype call. After we finished, I messaged him back (after I had dinner) and we talked until it was time for me to call Oldest Brother.
Then I fed the pets, and read on-line, and I have messaged the guy (his name is Richard) back and I'm waiting to hear.
Last night I looked for the copy of the Silmarillion that I thought I had. Apparently I don't. So today I ordered one through Barnes and Noble.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid is happy.
3. Richard messaged me back so I didn't have to message him first.
4. Good day at work.
5. Wore my denim jacket to work.
6. The copy of the Silmarillion was over half paid for by the $5 Barnes and Noble gift card I got for the survey.
