Day I took off
Nov. 17th, 2020 10:02 pmSo except for one hour, from 10:00 - 11:00 I put today down as comp time taken, and didn't have to worry about what to do for work at home. It was very relaxing.
I put in a Shipt order for some stuff i needed, and after it arrived I Skyped the FWiB. While we were talking the exterminator arrived, so I had him do the kitchen and bathroom.
Then I swiffered my kitchen floor, having just gotten wet swiffer pads from my Shipt order. And then I went and read. I finished The Redundant Dragons, which I wasn't that thrilled with, and then started the new Janet Evonovitch book that I had on my Nook since early in this month. I'm enjoying that a lot.
At 6:00 I had dinner, and after that puttered around till the union meeting started at 7:00. It started late, actually, and I had to jump out just before 8:00 to do my Al-anon meeting.
The Al-anon meeting went very well, and afterward I tried to get back into the union meeting. To my surprise it was still going on, and getting acrimonious.
I missed what I most wanted to hear about, changes to the layoff language, though. I wanted to hear what exactly it was before and what it was being changed to. I was going to ask but never got the chance because the meeting got very out of order and disorganized. The vote has been put off and there's going to be a paper ballot sent to everyone rather than trying to vote online, which I think is a better idea anyway. But I still want to know about that layoff language.
Oldest Brother called while I was in the union meeting and I told him I'd call him back. Can't till after 11:30 though, so i guess I'll go and read after I get done here.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Had comp time to take. This used it up though.
3. My Al-anon meetings and the people in them.
4. Good books.
5. My Nook is working better.
6. The vote on the MOA got put off, so I can look into that language before I vote.
