Blood test
Nov. 27th, 2020 10:09 pmToday I was woken up by the phone a little before 9:00. It was the technician who was coming to do my Covid antibody test, and he said he was on the way and would be there in a bit. So I got up and pulled on some clothes, and had breakfast.
Sure enough he was there before I'd even had time to make coffee. It was very fast, and he was good at drawing blood, I won't say it was painless, but very mild. I got the $30 thank you card, a prepaid Visa. And that was it. I should get the results by mail in a couple of weeks. I do have a small black-and-blue mark where he did the draw.
I made my coffee and puttered on-line, then I went to the bedroom and inadvertently took a nap for about an hour and a half. Then I got up and got on the computer again, and somewhere in there I put my turkeys away in my glass case, and cleaned and folded up the table cloth and put it away.
Somewhat after 3:00 I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice long talk, and then afterward I got myself a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream and eggnog to drink. I puttered on the computer some more, including putting some calendars in my Barnes and Noble cart, though I didn;;t order them until later, as I wanted to talk to Oldest Brother about them.
At about 6:00 or so I had dinner of leftovers, very yummy.
Then I went and continued reading The Left-handed Booksellers of London. I do recomend it, it's vstly entertaining. My Al-anon meeting was cancelled for tonight, so I didn't have to hurry or anything.
Oldest Brother called at 9:00 and I got the go-ahead to order the calendars, so after we finished I got on-line again and did that. Then I paid my rent.
I fed the cat and turtle, and now here I am.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Good book.
3. The test wasn't painful.
4. Leftovers.
5. Christmas shopping started.
6. My cat.
