Stayed home today

silver_chipmunkI just couldn't get myself to go in. I took annual leave, my boss was very supportive, even asked if I wanted tomorrow off too, but I said no.
So I went back to sleep for a couple of hours, and then got up, called Oldest Brother, and started my Christmas wrapping. Got it all done, too, except for the two things I have for Oldest Brother, and one thing for Middle Brother that hasn't arrived yet. It was a great miracle that I had enough wrapping paper, I thought I would run out, but I didn't. I should even have enough to wrap the things for Oldest Brother. I didn't wrap them already because I wasn't sure if he could open them, but he says he can. so I shall.
I called Oldest Brother's former boss Ritchie and left a message for him and then called John Ivon and he said he was driving and could he call me back later, and just as we were getting off Ritchie called back and i updated him.
Then the FWiB and I started Skyping but were quickly interrupted by his friend Mike Skyping... we had both forgotten today is Tuesday, the day when his friend Skypes.
So I went and I did my dishes. Which I hadn't done in far too long. But they are done now.
Then the Kid called, and I talked to her for awhile. She is feeling better.
After that I Skyped the FWiB for real, but there wasn't a lot of time before my meeting. And just before we were going to get off anyway John Ivon called, and I updated him.
My meeting went very well, and afterward I had dinner, and then calledmashfanficchick and discussed package delivery tomorrow and Christmas Eve. Then I called the Kid back. She ordered some stuff for me on Whole foods for Christmas Eve.
And then I fed the pets, and here I am. Somewhere in there I called Oldest Brother a second time, but I don't remember when it was.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB had a doctor's appointment today for his kidney (he only has one) but it turned out to be nothing serious.
2. Oldest Brother talking better.
3. Understanding boss.
4. The wrapping done.
5. The kid feeling better.
6. My meetings and the people there.
