Not the day I intended to have

I got up and showered and dressed, then had breakfast and coffee. The Fios installer showed up right on time, and although it was a bit more difficult than I expected, he got everything set up and working by about 12:30. I Skyped the FWiB while I was waiting formashfanficchick and zer mother.
Plans had been to get picked up by them, have lunch, then go to zer apartment to help out there.
They picked me up around 2:00 and we went to lunch at Blaze Pizza, so far so good. I went to CVS to get a new phone charger, and they went to the bank, and then we got back in the car.
It wouldn't start, and the rest of the day went to hell from there. We eventually got roadside assistance to come out and jump the car (after having a random person in the parking lot try with his car, which was unsuccessful) and drove to where the roadside assistance guy told us to go, Pep Guys. I called Oldest Brother while we were waiting for the guy, he is doing much better. I think he might actually be talking better than he was before whatever it was happened the other day.
Pep Boys were closed, By then it was after 6:00 and they closed at 6:00. We found another Pep Boys that was open till 8:00 and went there, in Long Island City. Eventually they managed to get the battery tested and found to be dead, and bought a new one.
By then it was far to late (after 8:00) to bother with any work at the apartment, so we just went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. I called Middle Brother on the way, he's doing fine.
We had a nice dinner, and then they brought me home. i called Oldest Brother again after we left.
Now I'm home and have fed the pets. Got to get to bed.
