Delayed Opening

silver_chipmunkJust when I was starting to get up this morning (and i was late) there was an e-mail that we were having a delayed opening at 12:00 because of the transit disruption caused by Hurricane Ida last night. So I went back to sleep, and made it in easily on time at 12. We had staff visiting us because their branches were flooded, it was good seeing JM again.
That made the day go fast, which was nice. And the Kid called me a few times about various things, which was also nice.
Calledmashfanficchick briefly to see how things were. They still don't have the car back. And we didn't go to baseball tonight obviously.
The bus home was late, so I didn't get home till after 7. Called Oldest Brother, then Skyped the FWiB. Talked till 8:30, then got off and called Middle Brother, I am happy to say his ear infection is done.
Ate dinner, then called Oldest Brother again, and the Kid.
Fed the pets, and here I am.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. Middle Brother's ears are better.
4. I didn't have serious problems from Hurricane Ida.
5. I'm not in Texas.
6. Delayed opening meant i wasn't late, and could sleep late!
Edited to add: Forgot to say, there was no hot water in my building this morning. Apparently the boiler is down, I don't know if there's any connection to the storm or just coincidence, but I hope it's fixed by tomorrow.
