I am now *gasp* 60 years old. How did THAT happen?

Got up in time for breakfast and coffee, and then a shower and dressing before my Al-anon meeting. I washed my hair, and didn't wear my cap for the meeting, or the rest of the day. My hair is... short. But it's growing in nicely, and the kid and

mashfanficchick and others have told me it looks good. So I'm giving it a try.

Anyway after my meeting I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice time.

Then

mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up and we went and got the Kid.

Then we went to Brooklyn, and ate a late brunch at a Mediterranean restaurant near where the kid is starting her coffee shop with her business partner. It was delicious. I had scrambled eggs with herbs, and everything that came with it. I had a Bellini to drink, and baklava for dessert.

Then we went and saw the soon-to-be-a-coffee-shop. It's a smaller space than i realized, but very nice, and I like the neighborhood a lot.

Then we drove the Kid home, and as we were leaving Astoria, we got ice cream at a place called Ample hills. I got a flavor called Nectar of the Queens, a honey and nut flavor that was wonderful.

They brought me home and as I was getting out of the car my phone rang and it was Denise and John and Brianne. They sang me Happy Birthday and we had a nice chat.

Then I called Oldest brother for the second time, and then I went and lay down and downloaded to my Nook my birthday present to myself, The Hidden Palace, which is the sequel to The Golem and the Jinni. I've been reading it and enjoying it.

Had some cheese and crackers for dinner, then puttered on-line. Wrote some more in the Starsky and Hutch story I've been working on. Then fed the pets, and started on here.
