silver_chipmunkI slept quite late and woke up to discover that David Myles had facebooked me the details of his mother's funeral tomorrow (she just died) which I interpret as a wish to have me attend. At first I didn't think it was possible, it being out on Long Island in West Babylon, and said so, but on investigating I found that it's very near a train station, so I'm going to go. I let him know and he seemed happy.
So that was the big thing today, and aside from that, I cleaned the turtle tank and filter. The turtle seems much happier.
I got a text frommashfanficchick that they got started on their trip late, so I shouldn't worry when I don't hear from zer that they have arrived when I'm expecting. Truthfully, I figured that would happen, but it's good to know.
I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice talk. And I started rereading one of the Bujold Penric and Desdemona stories, the long one, The Assassin of Thesalona on my Nook. Now I have the Nook charging.
And that's pretty much the day. I called Oldest Brother three times as always, and i called Middle Brother. I called the Kid but didn't get her, and wasn't really expecting to.
Gratitude list:
1. The FWiB.
2. Friends old and newer.
3. The LIRR.
4. My Nook.
5. Clean turtle tank and filter.
6. Found things to wear tomorrow.
