silver_chipmunkStarted the day by going to my Al-anon meeting in Bowne Park. First got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll, and a coffee from the bagel shop. Got a rode home after. Got invited to the diner but already had plans for shopping with mashfanficchick.
So after I got home I called zer, and ze said they'd be here in about an hour, so I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice talk, and thenmashfanficchick and zer mother got here.
First we got lunch, kim bab from H Mart. Very good, as always. Then we went to the Queens Center mall, to Pennys. The idea was a dress for Mike and kat's wedding, which is now in two weeks. I tried on four dofferent dresses, but we decided eventually on the first I tried on. It's purple with a gold accent buckle, not floor length, but mid shin. It was on a 30% sale, and I got an additional 25% off for using my Penny's card. So it only cost $41 and change. Yay!
We went to T J Max to get a purse, and I found a perfect one in matching purple and gold, and a pair of gold shoes that I should be able to walk in despite the heels.
Then we went to Petco where ze wanted to get a tag for Dani's dog Moose, but they didn't have the tag they wanted, so we decided to go to another Petco. But first we went to Target and I got a different bra to wear with the dress. Bras have been a rather fraught subject with me since the cancer surgery, my left breast is now much smaller than my right, and a regular bra just wouldn't work, so I've been wearing soft bralets. This was a different kid of bralet, with some padding and shape, so hopefully the disparity won't be as obvious.
Anyway, after we finished at target we went to the other Petco and got the tag for Moose. But their engraving machine wasn't working, so we took the tag back to the first Petco and did it there.
Then we went to Shop Rite and did some food shopping and I discovered they had eggnog already! So I bought a quart, though I shouldn't. I promise I will only drink small amounts at a time.
Then we went looking for a Starbucks to have a late snack, and that was a failure, so we ended up at a Dunkin' Donuts, where I really broke my diet and had a pumpkin spice latte and an apple fritter. Bad me. Tomorrow I will stick strictly to what I should have.
Then they brought me home. I Skyped the FWiB again briefly, just to say good night.
I called Oldest Brother three times during the day as always and texted with the Kid.
It was a very successful day all around and I am looking forward to the wedding now.
