So I got up at 7:30 and got ready and took Christie to the vet. I put her in the cardboard box that I used when [personal profile] mashfanficchick and zer mother took us to the vet here in Queens, and I put that inside the soft cat carrier. I figured that would keep her safe and contained, and it did.

So we got through the MTA with no problems except that I went the wrong way on the B train and had to turn around and go back, but fortunately I hadn't gone to many stops. I was actually five minutes late but they didn't hold it against me.

They are doing full blood work on her, which I'll get early next week, and started her on antibiotics. I get to inject her myself, every three days for six doses, the first one they did today in the vets. Not going to be easy injecting her myself, but they showed me the best way to do it and I am optimistic.

So I brought her home and she was quite happy to be in her tank again. And I called [personal profile] mashfanficchick to tell zer about it, and find out about Dani's election. She lost, which she expected, but did well, so it's not a total bummer. I also called the Kid to tell her and we had a nice conversation. After that I did a Shipt order, and then Skyped the FWiB.

Then I got the train ticket for my trip to cousin Steve and Amy's place in Vermont for the day after Thanksgiving, cause they invited us again. The Kid is driving up the day of Thanksgiving, and I assume I'll get a ride home with her.

I puttered around until it was time to join my D&D game, but just when I was waiting for the Zoom to begin my phone rang and it was J. from Al-anon, and her mother has just died. So we talked awhile, she wants me to go to the wake on the 19th so of course I will, though I'll have to come after work.

The D&D game was a lot of fun as always, we fought and killed giants.

Christie is still not eating, I guess that one shot today isn't enough to make a difference yet. I hope she'll be OK.

Left my Nook charging while I played, guess I'll go and read some now.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. The vet was less expensive than I expected.

3. Got there and back safely.

4. The election results seem to be less bad than I feared.

5. The lovely birds and animals I saw in the vets.

6. D&D.
