Was late today but it wasn't my fault. I made the bus on time; there was a huge traffic tie up. I applied to the MTA for a transit delay verification, I should hear tomorrow or the next day.

The day was quiet after that. Nothing much happened.

After work I went out for Carvel with [personal profile] mashfanficchick and zer mother. First we went to the grocery store and got some things, then Carvel, and then to Rite Aid so I could get my prescription.

Then I came home and played D&D. We had a major battle, against 30 gargoyles. That took the entire gaming time, so next week we go after the dragon.

After the game I called Oldest Brother, and then Skyped the FWiB briefly. And I called the Kid, who didn't answer but called me back, so we talked which was nice. We will see each other on my birthday Sunday.

The automatic pet food feeder doesn't seem to be working. I'm going to fiddle with it another day, in the meantime I fed Oreo by hand.

Tomorrow I am going to try to get up early enough to get the earlier bus so if there is still roadwork I won't be late. Wish me luck.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. D&D.

3. Ice cream.

4. My birthday is coming soon.

5. Quiet day.

6. Bed soon.

I am fascinated by the whole "transit delay verification" setup. As far as I know, we don't have anything like that over here, even in London. If someone's late for work due to a snarl-up, the best they can do is to find a local news story about it and point to that.
