silver_chipmunkSlept till about 10 then got up and breakfasted, showered and dressed and went to the nursing home to see Oldest Brother. They had shaved hos head that morning, which I am not thrilled about, but he doesn't mind. Still, it looks weird. Aside from that he looks OK.
We had a nice visit. I brought him his Christmas presents, which I hadn't been able to bring him before. We tried out the portable DVD player, but it seems he really needs earphones for that because the volume is really low. So I said I would get him earphones for his birthday which is Tuesday and bring them next Sunday. At least he seems willing to use the DVD player, unlike the tablet.
I stayed a little over two hours and then left. I stopped at the drugstore on the way home and got some Easter candy, a bag of Hershey's chocolate eggs. I also stopped at Dunkin' Donuts and got lunch, and then came home and ate. I am ashamed to say that over the course of the day I ate the whole bag of chocolate eggs. But they were good.
I went on Amazon and found a pair of earphones that aren't too expensive but got good reviews, so I ordered them. They should arrive Saturday.
After I got done eating I went to the bedroom and lay down and puttered on my phone. The FWiB got home from his Easter visit so we Skyped for a nice long time. Then I called Middle Brother. He went on a hike yesterday, and had fun. I texted the Kid, and she replied but didn't pick up when I phoned, she said (by text) she just wanted to relax. The shop was open today and it was a very good day.
I went to the bedroom again and called Oldest Brother for the last time tonight, and then puttered on my phone some more until pet feeding time. Then I fed the pets, and started here.
Tomorrow I get my taxes done, which means I get up early and go to College Point where the tax preparer is. Have to be out of the apartment by around 10 I think to make sure I get there on time. My appointment is for 11.
So it was quiet but good Easter. I got a text frommashfanficchick this morning, and from J this afternoon, and my Al-anon Friday group chat. So that's nice.
