Very frustrating because I literally missed the bus by seconds. I saw it pull away. I was 15 minutes late as a result.

The day was very quiet, the boss informed me that I should use the dead Item list for weeding. She didn't come out and say it directly but she let it be known. So I ran a list and started the YA fiction again. Depressing.

I forgot that I was out of yogurt when I did my last Shipt order, so I had to go out for lunch. Chicken Marsala pizza as usual.

After work I came home and called Oldest Brother for the second time, he actually used the DVD player today on his own. Yay! Then I Skyped the FWiB. We had a very nice time, for an hour and a half. Then I had dinner, and went to the bedroom with Oreo and lay down and puttered on my phone. I meant to read but Oreo snuggled up beside me, and getting my book would have meant disturbing him, so...

And that was pretty much the day. I called the Kid but she didn't pick up, I think she's at a party or something.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. The rain didn't start till now so I didn't get rained on during the day.

3. Chicken Marsala pizza.

4. Oreo snuggling.

5. Bed soon.

6. Spring flowers.

As simply a library user rather than a professional, I think weeding is one of those things which my head accepts but my heart has trouble with. The library in Worcester is a combined public/university one, which is fun as it means it retains some stock that a pure public library would have let go long ago. The other week I got out a book about pre-war central Europe, written in the 1930s. I can't say I understood it all, but it was fascinating stuff.

Heh, when I was a teenager I was weird and already liked finding old stuff. That was in the 1980s, when I could still go into a big library and find a big bound volume of ancient paper copies of Time or Keesing's Contemporary Archives or something. I am fairly sure I wasn't representative, though. :P
