Canadian wildfires

silver_chipmunkI missed the bus today after oversleeping, 15 minutes late, bad, must do better,
But the big thing today was the smoke from the Canadian wildfires, The wind was just wrong and the air quality here in the city was dreadful. At it's worst, the sky and everything was orange from the smoke. The Kid called me to warn me to wear a mask outside. I textedmashfanficchick to find out what was up, and about Carvel. Ultimately we decided no Carvel because of the air quality, no one should be outside more than necessary.
I was supposed to go to the 3D printer program in another branch today, so at 2:30 I set off on the 8 bus in the murk. It was like a dystopian movie, everyone was masked like back in the pandemic, and my eyes stung.
At 3:11 I got a phone call, the library was closing as of 3:30 due to the bad air quality, and there's a delayed opening tomorrow at 11. I had no idea where I was or how to get home, but thankfully Google maps told me that the best way was to retrace my steps and go home the usual way, so that's what I did. I got off the bus at Boston Road and turned around. Called the Kid and told her what was up, and headed home. Got home a little after 4:30.
I called Oldest Brother for the second time, then lay down for awhile. Then I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice time.
Got off and had dinner, then went to the first game session of the Pathfinder game. So far there's been a lot more combat than the last game, and it's more intense.
After the game I called Oldest Brother for the third time, then fed the pets.
Now I'm going to finish here and go to bed.
