Juneteenth

silver_chipmunkToday is a holiday, Juneteenth, and we had it off. So I slept late, though not as late as yesterday. mashfanficchick discovered ze had the day off too, and texted me to call zer when I got up.
John texted me in the morning too, about my plans for the cottage this summer.
mashfanficchick and I made plans that they would pick me up around 1:30 or 2:00. I got up and breakfasted and had coffee, and puttered online for a bit. Then I showered, washed my hair, and dressed. They got here a little after 2:00 and we went to late lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. I had the Southern Chicken Sandwich, and lemonade. Delicious.
Then we went to Target, where I got cat food, and was lucky enough to find a small thing of turtle food of the type I feed Christie, Tetra ReptoMin. After Target we went to Kohls, and then did some banking.
Then we went to Baskin Robbins, where we got ice cream. The manager was a very odd person, and messed up our order but eventually we got our stuff, though I got a regular waffle cone instead of the chocolate dipped one I wanted. But I got Pralines and Cream which for some reason I haven't had in years but which I love, and it was delicious.
I got facebook messages from Ilana about our trip to Amsterdam, she and her husband are going to meet us on the Tuesday we're there and take us sight-seeing. And I got facebook messages from Maritza about the winery trip on Saturday which I won't be able to make.
Then they brought me home. I called Oldest Brother for the third time. I got his copy of the Ben Aaronovitch graphic novel today, and I'll have to bring that to him soon.
Then I Skyped the FWiB, which was fun. Then I had a cup of decaf, and started writing here.
