silver_chipmunkIt started out pretty crappy, I really overslept, missed the second bus, and was a half an hour late. And it is definite now, mashfanficchick's passport was denied. Ze called the passport office and they told zer. Couldn't say why, of course. So that kills our trip for this month at least.
It improved a bit later, though it remained a bit weird. Got some oddish questions today. But no real problems although it was busier than I would have expected from the day in between a weekend and a holiday.
Had a long text conversation with Laurie about cottage finances. This is going to be tricky, maneuvering between her and John without upsetting anyone. It works out as me somewhere in the middle, which I don't like at all. I have to email Denise tonight to discuss things.
Anyway after work I met up withmashfanficchick and zer mother and we went to Starbucks, where we were when it really poured, which did not have the effect of lowering the heat and humidity. Then we went to Uno for late dinner.
The Kid texted me today, I didn't call her. Talked to Oldest Brother three times as usual.
It suddenly hit me at work that today would have been our 39th anniversary if the Ex hadn't walked out. Wow.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My friends.
3. Didn't get wet in the rain.
4. Holiday tomorrow.
5. Good dinner.
6. The Ex is out of my life.
