Hot and sticky

Got to work on time. There was a delayed opening for the whole system so those who wanted to could go to the virtual Wellness Fair sessions. I did not.
The day passed pretty quietly though it was busier than I would have expected. But I got through it and am now on vacation!
Of course it's a bit depressing, if things had worked out we'd be on the airplane now. But what can you do?
Anyway, after work I celebrated the start of my vacation by going to the Crosstown Diner rather than Boston Market, and getting a real dinner, chicken Marsala, not a burger. It was tasty, but not very Marsala-ish. I really splurged both monetarily and calorically, and got cheesecake for dessert, and that was excellent.
Then I went to my meeting. No Skyping the FWiB then of course, he was with his wife having his dinner. So I just waited. It was a good meeting though, some of the new people are returning.
After that I came home and called Oldest Brother for the third time, and then Skyped the FWiB. We only talked for 45 minutes. I fear this is how it's going to have to be from now on.
Just now I talked tomashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow. They are going to pick me up after my meeting which should be at Bowne Park tomorrow, and we'll have lunch.
I didn't call the Kid today, and now it's too late, darn it.
