Happy Labor Day!

silver_chipmunkI hope every (American) on my flist had a good Labor Day. Mine was mostly excellent.
I slept till 10. Got up and called Oldest Brother, but couldn't get through. Apparently his phone is not working again. I did manage to talk to him twice today and they say they'll get his phone fixed tomorrow. But what the hell is this, he's gone through like three phones in a couple of weeks!!
Anyway, aside from that issue, I watched an episode (five) of Good Omens 2. Only one left now.
I called the Kid, and talked to her for a bit. All is well.
And I cleaned the turtle tank, which as usual desperately needed it. The turtle is much happier.
I ate tuna and mayo, and had some watermelon pickles, and cheese and crackers. Then I had decaf and Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies.
At 5:00 I got dressed in my union tee shirt and went to the big park in College Point. I had an ice cream cone, vanilla with chocolate sprinkles, from the Mr. Softee truck. Then I walked around for a bit, and finally sat under a tree and alternated reading Walk the Wild With Me with scrolling Facebook and just lying on the grass. Finally came home, catching a bus at 7:20.
Then I Skyped the FWiB for an hour and some. Had a lovely time.
Then I tried getting Oldest Brother for the third time but was unsuccessful, though as I said, they say they'll get it fixed tomorrow.
I went and lay down for awhile, then got up to feed the pets. When I did I discovered that the cold water in my kitchen sink is not working. And on reflection, I am going to have to wait to report it to the management because they will send the super, I will have to take time off for that, and I don't dare take time off before the time I'm going to ask for to take the PA trip. So I'm screwed. At least the hot water is running fine, and the bathroom is fine.
Anyway, that was my day.
