Mental health day

Or self defense. I called out sick today because, as I said in a previous entry, the woman who tried to get me fired in 2010 who is now my bosses boss toured the branch today. So I detached from the situation, and didn't go in.

Instead, I went out to Long Island with mashfanficchick and zer mother. We went to an automated sushi place to start, where you take plates from a conveyor belt as they pass, and a robot delivers your drinks. The sushi was delicious and it was fun!

Then we went to Barnes and Noble and hung out there. I called Middle Brother as it is his actual birthday today. I picked out two books, and used the gift card that the Kid's boyfriend gave me for Christmas to pay. I got a Mercedes Lackey Elemental Master book, The Bartered brides, and I got the sequel to Godkiller, Sunbringer, I think it's called.

I Skyped the FWiB from my phone, from one of their comfy chairs, and then I went to their car and did my Al-anon meeting by Zoom from my phone. It was good.

After the Barnes and Noble closed we went to Stop and Shop and I got Irish soda bread.

Then we came back to Queens, the Kid called me and we talked.

And that was the day.
