Busy free day
Mar. 29th, 2024 10:47 pmI slept late but after that I got a lot accomplished.
After breakfast and coffee I finally motivated myself to clean the turtle tank, which really needed it. The turtle seems much happier.
Then I showered and washed my hair, which also needed it. I dressed, and started getting my laundry together, something else which really needed doing.
I brought the laundry down to the laundromat, brought my laundry cart back, and then went and visited Oldest Brother in the nursing home.
I am not happy with the way he is. I had hoped that getting him off the Olanzipine woukd make a big difference, but it doesn't seem to have done so. He recognized me, and was able to respond to my talking to him, but still very low. I stayed about an hour, and then left.
From there I went directly to the bus to go to my Al-anon meeting and dinner. I was planning on going to Boston market, but to my consternation, it was chained closed with "Keep Out" signs on the doors, and a legal paper of some sort taped up. So much for Boston Market.
So I at at the diner, had a portobello mushroom burger. Very tasty. But more expensive than Boston Market would have been.
Anyway, then i went to my meeting, which was very good. It was cold waiting for the bus, but at least it came on time.
Got home and Skyped the FWiB, then called
mashfanficchick to find out if Dani is coming down tomorrow or not. Ze doesn't know yet. So I don't know yet if I'll be having dinner with Dani tomorrow or not. Stay tuned.
And now it's time for bed.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Clean turtle tank.
3. Chilly but nice day.
4. My meetings and the people in them.
5. Good dinner.
6. The bus came on time.
