Good news!

I woke up at 10 and got up by 11, had breakfast and coffee and puttered on the computer til 12:30 when I showered and dressed.

mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up at 1:30ish and took me to the podiatrist.

And I got good news, the foot is healing well, I go back in a month and that's probably the last time I'll need to. And I've moved from crutches to a cane!

So after I got out of the office and they picked me up, we went to Duane Reade where I got a $26 folding cane. It's very classy looking too, not the usual plain aluminum type with the candy-cane handle, but an elegant black with a gold band and a fancy handle. I am pleased.

I called the Kid and told her, and she was pleased too.

We went to Applebee's for lunch and I got their new chicken sandwich. Very tasty. Then they brought me home, and I lay down for a little while til it was time to Skype the FWiB.

We had a nice long visit, interrupted by my call to Middle Brother, who got a hair cut yesterday, in preparation for the Spring Fling formal tomorrow.

After I got off with the FWiB I went and lay down again for awhile. I don't know why I'm so tired, I didn't do much. But I am.

Anyway, that's the day. Tomorrow, I am going to take the bus to my meeting!

Today is June 6th, 2024. 80 years since the D-day landings at Normandy. Never forget.
