Slept late again

And after I woke up I stayed in bed longer so it was very late by the time I got up. I had breakfast and coffee, and puttered on the net.
I got the paperwork for the lease renewal together and put it in the envelope and stamped it, and i will mail it soon.
Finally I gathered my courage and did something I've needed to do for awhile. I called Social Security to ask about a problem with Oldest Brother's benefits.
I made it through the phone tree to ask for an agent, finally. Then it said there would be a wait of about 21 minutes and did I want to do the callback thing? So I did, and waited. Sure enough, the phone rang and it was social security, not a human but a recording. Then it went silent and the call dropped. I cursed a little and started another call. While I was doing it, they called back, so I took that call... and got put on hold and waited about a half an hour for a human. Honestly, why offer a callback option if you end up on hold anyway?
I will say that when I got a human he was very nice and as helpful as he could be, although he couldn't answer my questions. He said that I should go in person to the Social Security office in Flushing and ask to be made Oldest Brothers Rep Payee, and then I could get answers.
So I will have to do that soon.
Aside from that, the day was pretty quiet. I heard from
mashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow. Ze is going to a Pride Shabbat at zer father's shul, and zer mother is taking Theo out to dinner and did I want to Skip my meeting and join them? Which i do. I'm sorry to miss the meeting but I do want to see Theo while he's here.
I read more of The Iron Princess, and then I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice talk, and by the time we finished it was almost time to call Middle Brother.
Middle Brother is fine and enjoying swimming. Nothing new.
I called the Kid but she didn't pick up. I may try again, after I finish here.
I Facebook messaged the person who told me about the reunion on Saturday to ask her if I needed to RSVP, and I said I was going, so I guess I'll be doing that Saturday. Hope it's a good idea.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Lease renewal done.
3. Good books.
4. Friends.
5. My turtle.
6. Fudgesicles.
Edited to add: Talked to the Kid, all is well.
