Sort of. There was barely anyone there that I knew, and very few people all together, but I had a good time anyway.
I overslept by an hour and rushed to get breakfast coffee, shower with hair washing and dressed by the time I wanted to get the bus. I didn't succeed, but I got to the train station in Jamaica in time for the train I wanted to take anyway. I Ubered from the Syosset train station to the reunion place (the American Legion Hall) and got there early while they were still setting up.
The main person there that i knew was Barry K. who I have mentioned before. We talked for a long time, which was nice. I had two hard seltzers, pizza, and assorted junk food, and two slices of watermelon.
At the end of the reunion, a bunch of us went to Merrick to the Paddy Power Pub and hung out there for a long time. I learned that Ed Ryan plays there. I also learned that he substitutes for members of the trans Siberian Orchestra!
Anyway, when we finally broke up, the same person who drove me there drove me home. Barry K came along so we had a nice convivial trip.
Then I fed the pets, and Skyped the FWiB. All in all I am glad I went.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Out and seeing people.
3. Got a ride home.
4. Air conditioning.
5. Bed soon.
6. Clean hair.
