Day three of DC Slash Con and home

Got up at 10:30 and just made it to the 911 panel at 11. mashfanficchick and I had both been waiting for that. Then there was an hour lunch break, and we had brunch, chicken and potatoes.

At 1 I watched an episode of Starsky and Hutch in the con suite, and then at 2 I went to the panel on dealing with the Neil Gaiman accusations.

It was during that I got the news that Biden has dropped out of the race and endorsed Kamala Harris. The Kid texted me, and we had a brief conversation. That combined with the panel was an emotonally jolting experience.

After that there was nothing I was interested in til the Dead Dog panel at 4. mashfnficchick and I stayed for that, even though ze was waiting for Mandy to pick her up for the concert they're at tonight.

I got dressed then and Ubered home, because zer mother didn't feel well enough to drive me.

All was well when I got here and I set up the computer and quickly put in a Shipt order and then Skyped the FWiB.

At 8:30 I called Middle Brother. He is fine, went to a jazz concert on Friday, and took a walk in a park, and went to a store and went swimming. So he's having fun. Then we finished Skyping.

After that I had dinner, and went and turned on my AC and lay down til pet feeding time.

So it was an interesting and good day.

911, do you mean the TV show?
AC lucky. I have to turn mine off from 4-9pm here and sweat and feel sick till time to turn back on.

Yes, the TV show. mashfanficchick and I watched if every week, as well as the spinoff, 911:Lonestar. Now they are both on hiatus though.

I try to run the AC only at night when I'm sleeping, but this summer has just been too hot for that.

Nice, same. Only I have to watch on Hulu once a week the day after since I took out cable. I'm caught up on both. I'm so sadden by Chris for next season. I kinda hate they moved to ABC cause it's like they never watched the show, and hardly any rescue scenes or fire scenes. They spent half the new season on 3 episodes for that ship movie remake that wasn't really needing 3 episodes, I got bored with that plot line enough to make me not want to watch the movie. But yeah, Lone Star is coming back soon in Fall sometime.

Nice, my aunt and uncle would yell at me if I had it on all night, but they leave their hallway swamp cooler on till sometimes 1am. Yup, I've been feeling sick most days, especially on the 3 digits. The fires here in SoCal are not helping the air, one right after the other.

You're right, the ship arc did not need three episodes, two would have been enough. We'll see how it plays out with a longer season though.

Ugh, I don't think I could sleep if the cooler were only on til 1, But then I stay up very late now that I'm retired.
