We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!

silver_chipmunkGot up tis morning a half hour later than I intended, had breakfast and coffee, and showered and dressed. Then I found out plans had changed slightly, and I wasn't being picked up til 12, because Dani needed to be driven into the city rather than taking the train from Forest Hills.
So I puttered online, and thenmashfanficchick called and said we'd meet at Dunkin' Donuts, so I walked down, got a drink and a donut, and sure enough, ze got there with Winnie before I finished.
So zer mother drove us to the Queens Zoo, and we spent the day there.
It was lovely. We did the farm animals petting zoo first, and had a lovely time feeding goats, sheep, and alpacas, among others. Then we went to the zoo side, and saw everything. I especially enjoyed the puma, lynx, owls, pudu, and Andean bears. And of course the sea lion feeding.
We got to the sea lions a half hour before feeding, and stopped for lunch. We finished just in time for their feeding. It was wonderful to watch them.
After the zoo closed at 5 we went to the small amusement park area outside the zoo, and Winnie did rides. We all did the carousel, and Winnie did it several times, also the little train ride. She had a lot of fun.
Then we went to a playground for a little while, and Winnie played.
Finally at a little after 7 they took me home. I did my Al-anon meeting by Zoom, and it was good, though small, just me and M and S.
After the meeting I Skyped the FWiB and we had a very nice time.
When we finished it was pet feeding time, and I fed the pets, then had dinner myself. Then I put in a Shipt order for tomorrow morning because I'm out of milk. I meant to ask to stop and get some on the way home but I forgot.
Then I started here, and here I am.
