Started out by getting up early so I would be available for my Shipt order. I had coffee and waited for it. When it came, I had plenty for time for breakfast and a shower and dressing.
Then at 11:45 I went outside and waited for
mashfanficchick's mother who was driving me to the doctor. We got there rather early, but I had to wait anyway. All is well except I have to cut down on the stuff that's raising my lood sugar. It's creeping up, and I have to stop it.
Anyway, after that we went to Chopt for lunch and I had a salad there. Then we called
mashfanficchick who was in the city with Dani and Winnie, and arranged to meet them at Union Square.
I met up with zer there, and we walked through the Green Market, to the playground where Dani and Winnie were, Then we walked to the Strand bookstore. In the Strand I found one of the Peter Wimsey books of short stories which I didn't have yet, and a compilation book of the first three Hainish novels of Le Guin. I paid for them with the gift card I got for doing the survey.
Then we went to Washington Square and let Winnie play in the fountain. We ran across two men feeding pigeons and had a wonderful time with them, being flocked. Personally I like pigeons, so it was great!
After that we went to Veniero's for pastries. I shouldn't have had anything I know, but it's a special treat.
Then I sent an email to m D&D group that I wouldn't make it tonight, and we drove back to
mashfanficchick's place.
I waited in the car while they looked for clothing to wear to the funeral that ze and zer mother are going to tomorrow, because and old friend of zer mother died yesterday. They will do that in the morning, and we'll try to meet up at the Mets game after. I Skyped the FWiB on my phone while I waited in the car.
Then we went to Target where we got Mets shirts, and shopped for a blouse for zer mother to wear tomorrow. We only had a half hour but we managed it.
The drove me home and my copy of One Day at a Time had arrived, so that's nice.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Mostly good report from the doctor.
3. Nice day with friends.
4. Got a ride to the doctor's.
5. New tee shirt.
6. Peter Wimsey book.
